Dear Colleagues and Friends,
I am delighted to invite you to attend the upcoming Mazzotti Summit for the Development of Women Leaders, Rider Changemakers: Leading from Where We Are, on May 21 and 22.
Our 2025 Summit will present a unique and powerful opportunity to come together, share experiences, and learn from one another as we seek to be changemakers and lead from where we are in our personal and professional lives. The Summit will empower participants to take that first step or to continue moving forward, in whatever position they hold, to lead and affect positive change.
The theme stems from the Mazzotti Award’s core philosophy that leadership transcends titles, roles, and responsibilities—every individual has the capacity to lead. It reflects our commitment to fostering positive change, especially in response to challenging circumstances. This concept aligns with the insights shared by Dr. Lisa Rufer, Associate Professor at the Norm Brodsky College of Business, during our October lunch, following her participation in an external leadership program at UC Berkeley last year. Listening to Lisa’s presentation, several of us had an ‘aha’ moment, recognizing the connection between the knowledge and skills Lisa gained and the work of our Program and incorporated these learnings into the planning for this year’s Summit.
The day will include a keynote address, a panel of Rider women faculty and staff who will speak to their roles as changemakers and meaningful opportunities to network and engage in discussion. Wherever you are in your changemaker journey, you will leave the Summit inspired and energized to lead from where you are.
I am deeply grateful to the Summit planning committee who, as changemakers themselves, are working hard to make this an impactful and stimulating experience for all of us.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please don't hesitate to reach out to the Summit planning committee at [email protected].
As space is limited, it is my great hope that you will register soon to confirm your attendance.
I look forward to seeing you in May!
Warm regards.
