Efobi earns gold in shot put

The women's indoor track and field team captured its third consecutive MAAC indoor championship title on Feb. 23.
Helping to lead the Broncs to their title, senior Chika Efobi earned gold in the shot put with a winning throw of 12.72 meters.
Junior Taylor Johnson secured a podium finish, placing third in the 60-meter event, while Hailey Palmer claimed silver in the 400-meter. Graduate student Jordan O'Neill '24 finished as the runner-up in both the mile and 3000-meter events.
The Broncs also secured a pair of relay podium finishes, taking second place in the 4x400-meter relay and securing a third-place finish in the 4x800-meter relay.
Additionally, freshman Dylan Giloley was named MAAC Track Rookie of the Meet, while Head Coach Bob Hamer earned MAAC Coach of the Year.
The Broncs will compete at the IC4A/ECAC Championships in Boston from March 7-9.
