Under the direction of Westminster Choir College's teaching artist faculty, this one-week program draws students from across the country and around the world. Open to students entering 9th grade through those who have just graduated high school, all students will sing in the Institute Choir under the direction of Vinroy Brown. Participants will receive training in conducting, choral performance and literature, interpretation of solo repertoire, technique, and voice science.

Tuition
$1,350 (includes $150 deposit/processing fee and room & board)
Scholarship Opportunity
High school students who complete any Rider University Pre-College Summer Program prior to applying for first-year admission to Rider University can qualify for an annually renewable $2,000 Pre-College Completion Award. Some restrictions may apply.
A limited number of scholarships are available for this program based on talent and financial need. In order to be considered for a scholarship, students will:
- Submit a video of themselves singing an accompanied art song, folk song, or aria.
- Submit an essay about why the program would be beneficial to their musical future.
- Submit a letter of recommendation from a music teacher (choir director, voice teacher, etc.).
- Submit a statement of how much funding they are requesting (up to $1,200) and an explanation of financial need. All students will be required to pay the $150 deposit to reserve their spot in the program.
Applicants should submit all materials to [email protected]. Materials will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Students will be notified of scholarship decisions in approximately 2-3 weeks after all materials have been received.
Enrollment
Enrollment is open to students entering 9th grade through those having just completed their senior year. There is no application deadline for this program, however it is advisable to register early to reserve your place in this popular institute. No audition is required.
Expectations for students:
Daily attendance, Monday to Friday. There will be an orientation on the Sunday before the program begins and a final concert on Friday.
