Snyder wins gold in 800-meter relay

On Feb. 23, the Rider men's indoor track and field team secured its third consecutive MAAC indoor championship title. The Broncs claimed the top spot with a total of 148.25 points and captured MAAC titles in both the 4x400-meter and 4x800-meter relays.
Graduate student Tamrat Snyder '24 led the Broncs, capturing the MAAC title in the 800-meter relay with a winning time of 1:53.59. Senior Maili Coleman joined Snyder on the podium, securing third place in the event.
Junior Nathan Storz earned bronze in the 60-meter hurdles, while junior Steven Bado secured silver as the runner-up in the 200-meter final.
Senior Jayden DuBard claimed second place in the shot put with a throw of 15.85 meters, and junior Michael Palmer finished third in the triple jump.
Additionally, Palmer was named MAAC Field Most Outstanding Performer, while Head Coach Bob Hamer earned MAAC Coach of the Year.
The Broncs return to action when they compete at the IC4A/ECAC Championships in Boston from March 7-9.
