Join us on a riveting journey into the complexities of 'perspectives' and the choices we make when faced with deteriorating systems. Through student-devised moments, real-life interviews, and dynamic movement and choreography, follow a group of high school students and teachers as they navigate 2004 America.
Devised by Rider University students and faculty, THE FIRE is a world premiere production that investigates the theme of "perspective," while taking an in-depth look at the United States education system. Set in a fictional small town, the story follows a cast of characters as they navigate 2004's fractured America. Combining text from real-life interviews, improvisation, and movement, this collaborative piece will explore the nature of an organizational system, examine how it affects different members of a community, and consider what happens when one person tries to create change.
