To be eligible for the Rider Tuition Guarantee, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Residency: New Jersey resident
• GPA: 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale
• Income: Adjusted gross income (AGI) of $50,000 or less 
• Grants: Receiving both full TAG and Pell grants
• Enrollment: Enrolled full-time (at least 12 credits per fall and spring semester)
• FAFSA: Must complete the FAFSA by Rider University’s priority filing deadline established each year and be in an eligible citizenship category. 
• Program: You must be in a qualifying program of study to achieve your first bachelor’s degree.
• Start terms: You must be admitted as an incoming first-year or transfer undergraduate student for the spring 2025, fall 2025 or spring 2026 start terms. No other start terms are eligible.

If you satisfy all eligibility criteria, you may receive the Rider Tuition Guarantee for one academic year. After your FAFSA is filed for the consecutive year (by the priority deadline) and your final spring grades post, the Financial Aid department will be able to review your account for financial aid eligibility for the following year. 

Your family’s adjusted gross income (AGI) will be indicated on the tax documentation provided to complete your FAFSA. The AGI will also be reflected on your completed FAFSA.

Transfer students may be eligible for the Rider Tuition Guarantee if they meet the eligibility criteria outlined above.

The Rider Tuition Guarantee initiative offers the incentive for 100% tuition covered.

You will automatically be considered for the Rider Tuition Guarantee when you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the university priority deadline. 

Simply transmit your FAFSA to Rider, apply to Rider, and accept your offer of admission by May 1 for fall enrollment or by January 15 for spring enrollment. 

The Rider Tuition Guarantee is available for the fall and spring semesters only; however you may qualify for financial aid for the summer sessions. If you have any questions regarding potential summer financial aid eligibility please reach out to One Stop Services via email at [email protected].

Yes. For University grant programs such as the Rider Tuition Guarantee, as well as other state and federal programs, you must meet the Rider Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards each semester and remain in good academic standing within your college. Academic support resources are available on campus to help students successfully complete course requirements and make academic progress.
