Program overview

Rider’s supervisor of instruction certificate program develops the reflective capacities of educators to perform a wide range of supervisory functions in accord with recognized professional standards, best practices and values. These learning opportunities are aligned to leadership standards for improvement, ethical and professional norms, equitable and inclusive approaches to learning for children and adults, community and family support, ongoing management, with all grounded in learning and instruction.

Certificates and endorsements explained

Educators with three years of successful experience with their initial teaching certification, a master’s degree (or higher) and positive completion of the four required courses in this program will be eligible to add this additional certificate in supervision to their professional portfolio.
