Research interests and professional background

My research agenda focuses on coping strategies—specifically the maladaptive coping strategies of eating disorder symptomatology and self-injury.

I served as president of the International Association of Addictions and Offender Counselors (IAAOC), a position that aligned with my research interest in process addictions (e.g., eating disorder symptomatology). I am also a certified school counselor, a nationally certified counselor, a licensed professional counselor, an approved clinical supervisor and a board-certified coach. My counseling experience includes private practice and college counseling.
