Payment Options

Secure online payments  If you are a current student with a myRider account, we are accepting payments for tuition, housing, resident meal plans and fees.

You may make online payments using Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and electronic check.

To view your University Bill and make a payment students should follow these steps:

1. Login to the myRider portal and click on the Student tab.
2. In the Student Finances section (at the bottom right of the screen) select, iPay: Pay my Admission or Housing Deposit/University Bill link, then click Continue.
3. You can view your statements, make a payment and setup an authorized user account.

Students with access to their myRider portal can give “Authorized Users” (parents, employers, etc.) the ability to view e-bills and make online payments using Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and electronic check.

To set up an “Authorized User” follow these steps:

1. Students must login to the myRider portal and click on the Student tab..
2. In the Student Finances section (at the bottom right of the screen) select, iPay: Pay my Admission or Housing Deposit/University Bill link, then click Continue.
3. Click “Authorized Users” in the My Profile Setup section (to the right side of the screen).
4. The student will need to provide the e-mail address of the authorized user, and click “I Agree” to the Agreement to Add Authorized User.

Please note that an Authorized User account may be edited or deleted at any time by the student.  In compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), a student’s financial records may not be shared with a third party without their written consent. By adding an authorized user the student is giving their written consent that an individual may view their account information and make payments on their behalf. Please note that authorized users DO NOT have access to a student’s stored payment methods, academic records, or other personal information.

Rider University will accept payment to your account from a “third party”. However, payment responsibility ultimately resides with the student if not paid by “third party”. 

Department of Veteran Affairs: Please reach out to the university’s VA Coordinator https://www.rider.edu/admissions/military-friendly

Outside Companies: Please submit your voucher or letter to [email protected] by the payment due date of each term. Any difference should be paid for by the student by the payment deadline. The university will bill the company on your behalf. If payment is not received by the end of the semester, the balance will be due to the student.

Scholarships: Please submit scholarship letters to [email protected].

Rider University has partnered with TransferMate, to offer students an easy and secure wire payment option.

How to pay your payment via Wire Transfer:

1. Login to your myRider portal and click on the "Student tab".
2. In the Student Finances section (at the bottom right of the screen select, iPay: Pay my Admission or Housing Deposit/University Bill link, then click Continue.
3. Please select ‘TransferMate’ in the make a payment dropdown menu during checkout.

4. Under Plan Enrollment, you will be able to schedule and select payment methods.

To account for any new charges or payments of financial aid adjustments, the monthly payment plan will be recalculated and distributed among your remaining payments.

All late payments will be assessed a Late Fee of $25.00 for each month that the student is late. Non-payment can result in the cancellation of your payment plan and your entire outstanding balance will be due immediately.

If the account remains unpaid, the University reserves the right to suspend or withdraw you from classes; withhold grades, transcripts, and diplomas; deny you future enrollments; and require you to move from student housing.

Credit card payments for all tuition and related fees, housing and meal plans will be assessed a 2.95% payment service fee.

Please note that Rider University does not receive any compensation or portion of such fee for offering credit card payments as an option. This fee will be presented to you during the credit card payment process and will appear on your credit card billing statement.

Students can avoid the 2.95% service fee by choosing "Electronic Check" as the payment method when making payments through myRider.
