CARES Act Funding Disclosure
Rider University signed the Funding Certification and Agreement Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act. Rider received $3,648,210 in CARES funds and will disburse 50% ($1,824,105) to students in emergency assistance.
Beginning on May 12, 2020, Rider University began disbursing the initial round Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act funds to currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students during the term of disbursement who are Title IV eligible based on their Expected Family Contribution (EFC). These funds are intended to assist students with expenses related to the disruption of campus operations caused by the pandemic, such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care and child care expenses.
Beginning on May, 2020, Rider University had approximately 3,300 students eligible for assistance and we awarded 2,792 grants totaling $1,824,105. This Fund has been spent and is now closed.

CRRSA Act Funding Disclosure
Rider received an additional $1,824,105 funding through the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriation Act (CRRSAA) funds and will disburse emergency assistance to students.
Beginning on March 23, 2021, Rider University began disbursing the second round Coronavirus Aid, Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriation Act CRRSA Act funds to currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students during the term of disbursement who are Title IV eligible based on their Expected Family Contribution (EFC). These funds are intended to assist students with expenses related to the disruption of campus operations caused by the pandemic, such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, tuition costs and child care expenses.
Beginning on March, 2021, Rider University had approximately 3358 spring enrolled students with a completed FAFSA eligible for assistance and as of June 2022 we awarded 2875 grants totaling $1,824,105. This Fund has been spent and is now closed.
ARP Act Funding Disclosure
Rider University received an additional $4,913,724 funding through the American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds and will disburse emergency assistance to students.
Beginning on October 7th, 2021, Rider University began disbursing the third round of Coronavirus Aid, American Rescue Plan ARP funds to currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students during the term of disbursement. These funds are intended to assist students with expenses related to the disruption of campus operations caused by the pandemic, such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, tuition costs and child care expenses.
Beginning on October 2021, Rider University had approximately 4,300 enrolled students eligible for assistance, and as of October 2022 we awarded 4,327 grants totaling $4,913,724.00. This Fund has been spent and is now closed.
