Enrollment Management includes University offices primarily concerned with providing services for the recruitment and retention of students and working to coordinate these activities in the academic colleges and departments.
The basic principles of Enrollment Management are:
-
Enrollment Goals need to be realistic and defined;
-
Enrollment Management needs to have a commitment from the community that new enrollments and continuing enrollments are important to the health of the institution;
-
Enrollment Management needs to be linked to academic planning and program evaluation;
-
Enrollment Management must take an active monitoring role in considering the internal organizational climate and external environmental factors;
-
Enrollment Management must take the lead in defining how the University’s Tuition Pricing and Financial Aid leveraging philosophy is determined and implemented;
-
Enrollment Management must provide assessment tools that disburse to the community accurate enrollment information;
-
Enrollment Management needs to create marketing materials and communication that establish distinctions in the marketplace for the University.
