Due to the expected winter weather, Rider University will operate remotely on Friday, January 19. Only essential personnel are to report to campus.
However, we are asking all employees to be mindful that classes for the spring semester begin on Monday, January 22. The Friday before the start of a semester is historically marked with increased questions and concerns from students and faculty that require swift resolution.
Therefore, we want to make clear that even in a remote setting, Friday will be a normal work day, and all offices and departments are required to be as responsive as possible, especially to phone calls and email inquiries, throughout the day. Supervisors must make plans with their staff to ensure normal operations in a remote manner.
On Friday, Daly Dining Hall, the Student Recreation Center (SRC) and Starbucks will be open during normal scheduled hours.
Student move-in begins Saturday morning and is expected to proceed accordingly. Should it be necessary to change plans, we will communicate additional information by Friday afternoon.
Information about specific event cancellations will be posted to this page as it becomes available, so check back often.

As the current winter storm continues to wind down today, Rider University expects to operate normally on Saturday, January 20.
